The weather stations and up to date weather radar websites here in the Chicagoland area have been buzzing with prophesies of snowy doom. This juggernaut is moving from the south-west to cause havoc on our lives. Of course this has caused much concern for everyone. Lordy, the crops might fail, oh wait it’s winter. So far 14 inches is the prediction accompanied by high winds. OpticsPlanet has you covered and so does Spy Optics.

Today a few of my friends at OP were in a frenzy trying to find the perfect Spy goggles for them. My buddy Bo looks fierce in the Spy Optics Trevor Ski Goggles. There’s always room for personality in eyewear, some look for the frame to scream and shout and otherwise makes a scene. However not everyone does. There are simple frames that have no soul and are ordinary, but there are also simple frames that are refined and singular that the wearer needs little else to distinguish them-selves. Which are you? For a few seasons an epidemic of style has caught our very psyches. Liz is now actively trying to find her inner-Geek as well. I have been writing about this trend and my reluctant but willingness to embrace this fashion trend that arose in the mid 2000s. “Geek Chic” was coined by self-identified “geeks” to refer to a new, socially acceptable role in a technologically advanced society. This style used to be mocked, shunned, given wedgies and snickered at. No longer! It’s with the sincerest form of flattery that we now imitate them.
