I bet you don’t think about it often, but have you ever noticed when you’re in a certain mood that you listen to a certain kind of music? That is because the music evokes a certain feeling in you. We do that with other things too. When we are happy, we are confident and we look nicer than when we feel blue. What certain shades say about you…

Aviators: Aviators are a classic sunglasses style. Originally designed for our pilots in 1936 and put out there by…. You guessed it: Ray Ban! The Aviator became a well-known style of sunglasses when General Douglas MacArthur landed on the beach in the Philippines in World War II. Newspaper photographers snapped several pictures of him wearing them. This says two things to me: Fashion & Function. The person who loves Aviators is a grounded person, relaxed, but still stylish.

Cat Eye Glasses: Became popular in the 1950s and 1960s among fashionable women and are usually associated with the Beehive hair style (classy). Some lovers of the Cat Eye style: Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn and more recently, Lisa Loeb. As you can tell from that list of people who wear …

Welcome back readers. This is my 3rd installment regarding my Eyewear makeover. At one time I had 9 pairs of frames on my desk. I caused a bit of a stir and distraction because my team kept coming by to try them on. I believe they have caught my Geek Chic bug. I tried on the Ray-Ban RX5279 Eyeglass Frames in Dark Havana. I am committed and convicted. I am going to give myself an eyewear makeover. A couple of weeks ago I wrote about my boss challenging me to shake things up and get some “nerdy” frames. “You always wear wire frames” she said. And well, she is right. My plan is to take my readers through my path to find the geek chicest frames I can. Let me take you on my journey. My first try is the Versace VE3154 Eyeglasses in Shiny Black Frame (GB1-5417). I even snuck in a blue pair in the Prada Eyeglass Frames PR16MV EAR1O1-5516 – Top Striped Blue / Horn Frame. My boss Liz caught me and told me to put them back. Wearing blue is such a hard habit to kick.

They aren’t as thick as I wanted but they are close. Some say that finding the right pair is daunting. For me this is very exciting. These might be the ones I go with but alas my search continues. Stay tuned.…
